Apparently my Dad gave up on the old style master cylinder, because I got at text at work saying, "New master and slave will be in this afternoon." Haha looks like we might get to finish this tomorrow after all! Or at least there's a shot at it.

Last night was a little bit disappointing. We worked on the truck for 9+ hours and got everything done down to bleeding the master/slave and adding oil to the engine. My Dad fabbed up an ingenious mount for the transmission while I wired the truck back up, fixed my speaker, hooked up the master/slave, added the last skid-plate, and siliconed all the oil pan bolts on the engine to try to keep it from leaking oil (which it still is). We added our fluids, got to the master/slave and it wouldn't bleed right.
Earlier in the day when we took the old master and slave cylinders off and put the new ones on, we opened the hose that connects the two, and it is connected with an o-ring. The o-ring was supposedly bad, because the hose wouldn't reconnect easily. I guess we put too small of an o-ring on, because now it won't bleed. My Dad doesn't think he can find the right o-ring for it so he might just buy a whole new line.

This is the modified tool that we used for clutch alignment, it was super simple to make.

Finally, to add insult to injury, when I opened up the door to the Jeep, my laptop fell out right onto the ground.

Tonight I have a math test, and then right after that one of my projects is due, which means I probably won't have any time to work on the truck even if my Dad gets the part. But tomorrow I might. I'll keep ya updated for sure!

It is finished!
Just to show how awesome my Dad is, he finished the truck around noon today. Swapped the o-ring out and got it goin!
After my math exam I ran over and picked it up. I must say, it is an absolute blast to drive! My buddy went with me and followed me back in case something happened, and he agreed that it seemed to wake the truck up a little. But let's be honest, I was drivin it like a bat out of hell! After driving the Jeep, with almost no power, for two and a half years, this is just insane!
When I got back to my apartment I noticed two leaks: one on the front end, and one under the transfercase. The front end leak was trans fluid, which isn't physically possible, so I knew it was left over from the transmission cooler. However, the transfercase leak is from the transfercase, which I think is leaking from the fluid "cap." Which is really an allen plug. The old one was starting to strip, and we had a brand new plug that, thread wise, was really close, so we put it in. I'll do a more in-depth look into it tomorrow, but I think that's what is linking.

I'll post some more "finished" photos tomorrow afternoon!
