Runs strong BUT has white/grey smoke?

First off ive been doing alot of searching and found lots of threads on this subject lots of suggestions but never the end result as to what fixed the problem, so my truck was healthy ran strong with lots of black smoke, then black smoke started becoming greyish but still ran great now its light grey kinda white and still runs strong, i dont care about the smoke visually but the color of the smoke is trying to tell me something, so im at 14psi wot, did oil change, oil was looking good still, no water in oil or oil in water, cleaned air filter, fuel filters have about 400miles on them, no check engine codes, turns on great , idles great, no sputtering. A small puff of grey smoke on start up, no smoke driving normal, when i get on it thats when it smokes grey/white....I really want to hear from anyone that had this problem and how they cleared it up, turbo, injectors, vp, loose hose etc. if i find the problem before anyone post ill put the answer here as to what i did to stop it. Thanks in advance for any help:c:

First suggestion I would like to throw which is fairly cheap is to have the injectors pop tested. I wonder if you got a few injectors that are popping early (or low in pressure). This would give the illusion for advanced timing.

I see that you replaced your injectors with rv275's how are they working out for you? and do you know the difference between the different RV 275's that that are out? It seems like vendors sell their own version of that injector. I was already looking for injectors before the grey smoke so i was planning on replacing mine if it fixes the problem great if it doesnt i can rule out injectors and report back.

Mine are hand me downs from another forum member. These are Rv275's with over 400K miles on them. Work awesome. When they get dirty I can tell because the get a mild miss to them. I either hitch up the RV and drag it around a bit or pull them out and scrub them down. Technically I should replace these but they still work just fine.:w2:
