I do not know if your truck is 4wd or 2wd so I may mention stuff you do not have. Does it do it standing still? If you put it in neutral and rev the motor, does the motor shake? If it does, look for a problem with the dual mass flywheel. If it doesnt and only does it when moving highway speeds, I would look at U joints not installed properly, damaged, carrier bearing on driveshaft if you have one, damaged front driveshaft double cardian joint.

Those things are all trans related issues. You may also be describing the death wobble. Most common on 4wd. Any more information would be helpful.

I think it might be that death wobble it sounds exactly like what jerm89 experienced while driving down highway.

If it is a death wobble, check front end components . Make sure the track bar is in good shape. Make sure the steering stabilizer is in good condition and not leaking. A lot of the aftermarket stabilizers are not as good as the factory one. I have repaired many a truck by removing the aftermarket rancho stabilizer and just installing a stock one. Also make sure the the tires are balanced properly. Bigger tires make it harder.
