Sound like you need to add a boost elbow and a bit more fuel. :tu:

how often should i change my filters on the airdog?
When the fuel pressure drops. Like I've got a bit over 30K on my AirDog 150 filter and barely lost about 1-2 PSI. Not enough to worry yet because my WOT pressure is still 16 PSI I'm not even worried.

what are the filter size?
I'm running 2-3 micron filters for the best protection of the VP44. (Fleetgaurd or Donaldson)

FF100-5 (5 Micron) Fleetguard FF5587

Remember Quadzilla is out of business and there is no support for it. :w2:

Hit the link on my last post its got all the AirDog filter numbers.

Fastlane17 02-27-2013 11:12 AM

It was either quadzilla or banks. I'm trading for a EZ off a common rail.

Alright. I have aftermarket filters currently. So I guess just go get those same filters?

Mopar1973Man 02-27-2013 11:28 AM

Just check on the micron rating of the filter before buying them. Brand name isn't as important as the micron rating. I tend to so far like Fleetguard or Donaldson filters...:w2:

Fastlane17 02-27-2013 02:23 PM

Alright. I just wanna make sure it will fit.

EGT is around 6-7. Not 8.

It is good to see that I am not the only one that preaches the use of these filters on Diesels. I also like Baldwin filters. Mopar filters for Cummins diesel are manufactured by Fleetguard so you wont go wrong with those either.

Fastlane17 02-27-2013 10:39 PM

Still not sure which filter I need. Can someone just post what I need. Exactly. L

condor74 02-27-2013 10:49 PM

If the fuel filter set up is manufactured by Air Dog then I would check with them on what size and style of filter they use. Unfortunately I do not have an Air Dog filter set up. Most of my experience is with mostly stock trucks. I recommend changing the fuel filter on a stock truck every 10 to 15000 miles.

And all of these will fit? Currently running a napa 3626 and napa 533616 should I just get another set?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Changed em. Bought another set of napa filters. $50.80 out the door in Texas. Changed the filter. And truck wouldn't start. Finally cranked back over. After a call to airdog they said I was suppose to fill the water filter up with diesel. Now the truck sits at 14 in idle. And 12 at WOT. Airdog guy said that that was fine for my mods.

Yes. Those should all fit...

But as for fuel pressures you should be much higher. I'm idleing at 19 and WOT 17 PSI with a Airdog 150.

Might have to shim the spring and check to be sure the ball isn't crush in the coil of the spring.

Fastlane17 02-28-2013 02:50 PM

I have a baby airdog 100

Shouldn't matter. You can still shim a AD 100 or change springs.
