1999 v10 to 2nd gen cummins
Hey, my name is Eric and I currently have a 1999 dodge 2500 with the five speed manual. I am brand new here and am about to o the cummins conversion. I'm looking to get a few helpful tips to help with the job. Is the 12 valve better? Or a 24 valve? Will the transmission bolt up?
Thanks for any tips! |
This will be a fun project
IMO 12v without a doubt if anything just for the K.I.S.S factor gonna need a doner powertrain harness and pdc, might be able to re-use pdc tranny will adapt without to many issues cluster and interior harness or just a doner dash would make it easy swap sounds like fun looking forward to a update good luck scott:hellox: |
i agree awesome project 12v is your best bet
best thing about the conversions is that motor is out and what better time to do some internal work even if its just freshening her up a bit a motor with 400k on it can run like brand new for not to much easy when its out ya know |
