Traveling and having big issues HELP PLEASE!!

Hey DB, I'm on a road trip with friend, going from central Fl to long beach CA. We have a 99 2500 24v with the banks otto mind, banks exhaust brake, air dog FP150, and I think a banks turbo. We are currently in new mexico and are having issues with the engine "hiccup ing" under load. We are running abou 20~34 psi of boost and the egt's are anywhere from 800° to 1,150°. Fuel psi around 12~15. Just replaced #5&#6 injector lines but had all of them off. Truck was doing fine until then. It also has a new ip with about 6k miles on it. The truck will hiccup in any gear and it isn't very rpm or load dependent. Any greathelp would be great. I'll check this as much as possible but in the off chance anyone has any ideas feel free to text our call me. (352)359-7350 thank you:argh:

might have air in the system

boosthappy 01-30-2013 08:11 PM

I'll try to bleed it, but I would figure air in the lines would miss at any rpm even idle, but our truck is running life a champ at idle

is your tach working good as in not jumping all around:hellox:

Bled injectors at the head. No change. Has anyone ever blown an injector tip? I know with most caterpillar engines air in the lines can blow the tips out of the injectors and I could be dumping fuel and or be causing a hot spot leading to detonation. Any thoughts on that?

Tachometer has always been a little wonky. And I replaced the cas a few months back with no change. Altho I didn't use a dodge part... It was a napa brand.

ok the crank sensor was something i was wondering about is why i asked about the tach. i have heard of tips cracking causing a miss but more there all the time. you didnt get some bad (water) fuel did you

boosthappy 01-30-2013 09:37 PM

we have already gone through a few tanks of fuel and we keep draining the water out of the fp 150

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

we keep draining the fuel trap from the fuel pump but I don't see very much water in it

okay I under the bank system and it seems to be doing a lot better now thank you diesel pap
