Default stock lift pump on framerail??

upgrading to a fass here soon and noticed my stock pump isnt on the block but when i cycle the key and listen the pump is coming from what looks to be a block mounted pump on the framerail with some homemade mount? its got me puzzled as heck and eveyone i have asked cant seem to help and theres a electric connector pluged into the bottom with a green white andblack wire out of it. but only the black wire is hooked up at both ends {at the "pump" and under the hood}. and its with a fuse at both ends as well. i have pics ill try to upload but any advice is very welcomed thanks in advance!

Sounds odd. I know a few people run the Holley Black or Blue pumps as a bandaid to get them by. As long as the connector under the hood isn't mangled, you should have a smooth install of a FASS.

well al the wires are cut except the one that has the fuse in it. had the thought of connecting them and seeing what happens but dont want to damage anything as moneys tight right now. hopefully the weather clears up and i can mess with it...

There should be a two wire connector near the back, left of the engine, behind the dipstick area. That is the wire that controls the lift pump for factory. As long as that connector is intact, your fine for a FASS install. If not, you just need to do a little rewiring.

Yes..true. Here's my FASS 150 titanium...a little snug, and had to modify the mounting bracket a bit, but not too bad at all.
