Air Dog FRRP or FASS DDRP

Question for you guys. I am going to be replacing my factory lift pump soon and I have been looking at the following 2 pumps to replace it with.

The first choice was a FASS DDRP. The second choice was a Air Dog FRRP.

Money is an issue here but I also want to make sure that I am choosing wisely between the two as I really only want to do this once.

My truck is a 02 2500 all stock but with the plans of doing a 4" or 5" exhaust down the road. I will not be any performance mods down the road, the truck will stay stock.

I like the option that FASS has to move the pump closer to the tank but I have not been able to find anything if the Air Dog has that option. Does anyone know if they do?

My last question here is, which pump is a better pump?

Thanks

They are both good pumps. The airdog frrp can't be mounted anywhere except the factory pump location unless you make your own mounting brackets. If you want to go with airdog and want the pump on the frame check out the raptor 100 or 150 pump. Thats what I decided to go with and it comes with 1/2" fuel line. I picked mine up on ebay for $380 from usa-freedom-diesels-inc.

I would look into a raptor 100 150 and make sure you have a fuel pressure gauge. the raptors also have a pressure adjust screw right on the front.

Ive been think about this subject also! Ive been looking at these same two pumps but mine has a few mods to it with new injectors and a flashpaq tuner but little mods but i was slso thinking about those 1/2 llines which should i get?:argh:

If you are not planning on many more performance mods then the 100 is the way to go. But if you can swing the extra $ go for a fass or airdog with filters. A pressure gauge is a must have. It will help with troubleshooting if problems arise and it will also let you know when it is time to change the filter.

Personally with the problems airdog has been having I would stray away from them. Fass seems to be doing alright(I got a 150 on mine) .

Rammit, what type of problems has AirDog been having?

Mechanical issues with their products?

Motor issues mostly but there is some cases of other things too. Some are ok but a lot arent even making it past 3 months before then need turned into warranty.
