Default Check Engine Light

I bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 in April 2012 with 134k miles. The other day the check engine light came on and lost power, this sounds like a common problem. Changed fuel filter and the check engine light went off and it ran great. The next day started it and was letting it warm and I noticed a miss in the idle. Took off and it seemed fine, a couple of miles later the check engine light came back on and lost power. I could not get above 35 mph, also noticed that the lights were bright until I stepped on the throttle and they would go dim???

You'll need to check for codes. A simple code reader can be as cheap as $10, but can provide a significant amount of information. From there you can determine what the computer is telling you, and we can help you further from there.

A lot of auto parts stores do free CEL code pulls as well, but a scanner is never a bad tool to have!

Default Check Engine Light

I bought a Actron AutoScanner OBD II Scan Tool CP9575 these are the codes that it showed P-606
P-234
P-123
P-382
P-121
What does this mean ????

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

PO-606 = Electronic Control Module Malfunction
PO-243 = Turbo boost limit exceeded
PO-123 = Acceleration Position Sensor Signal Voltage Too High
PO-382 = Intake Air Heater Relay 2 Control
PO-121 = Acceleration Position Sensor Volts Do Not Agree With Idle Valid Signal

Well P-0606 is a PCM/ECM Processor Fault. Usually a bad PCM. Did you get any freeze frame data?

Default Check Engine Light

Not yet, am planning on working on it this weekend. Work has been keeping me pretty busy.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

PO-382 Intake Air Heater Relay 2 Control was on the freeze data.

I'll do some digging while at work tomorrow, but it sounds like you may be having a PCM issue. Try checking for damaged wires around the PCM.
