Boost P.S.I.??

My boost gauge is all over the place when driving and I can feel it big time as the gauge is going nuts, my question and not to sound ignorant as hell this tells me I am having issues with the turbo correct and what would the options be for replacement?? Thanks

It is an HY or an HX series turbo?

What kind of gauge is it? Mechanical, electric?

Did you just install it and you're having problems? Or all of a sudden it's going crazy?

it sounds like a transmission issue to me i can tell when my clutch slips and so can my turbo.
is it only under load or at cruising speed or at idle?

It has been doing it since I purchased it and I just had the trannsmission completely gone thru... It is going down the road at really any rpm the gauge flucuates and I can feel it in the truck as well???

When it happens does it feel like you get a sudden surge of power or lack of power? How much psi does it usually fluctuate?

brand97 12-23-2012 04:57 PM

Yes it is a surge and it varies within the fluctuating...

Does it happen when cruising at a constant speed? Have you removed to silencer ring on the turbo?
