Headlight upgrade?
First off, thanks for the help with cab lights. Ordered recon smoked.
My title says my rig is a 2001, but it has 4 wheel disc brakes, so I believe that makes it. 2001.5. Seems that 2001 and 2002 are break points between headlight models. So I'm a little confused. Some say the earlier lights will fit 2002, some don't. Searched the archives, no epiphanies there. I want halo projector lights. Don't want to spend more than necessary, but I want good ones that last and put out a good beam of light and install without too much trouble. Suggestions? |
I have had great luck with Anzo USA's products.
Search results for: 'Dodge-RAM 2500-2001' I don't have the projectors, but they are available. |
They are the same housing from 94-02 2500/3500 minus sports package. :tu:

Do the upgrades that include two headlight bulbs require any special wiring?
|
To go to the Sport lights, 4 bulbs, there is a harness required. You can build it, or buy it.

Been doing a lot of research. Not impressed with what I've read about the halo, projector upgrades. So I'm now looking at a two piece sport headlight conversion. I really like the idea of having 2 sets of bulbs. Thinking that should provide better light. My truck came with a one piece el cheapo set that has a broken screw tab and shoots high.

Cummins Crazed has a nice set of lights :c:

---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Since I don't want to engineer a system to supply full power to the additional bulbs of sport lights, is the brite box a good way to go? As I understand it would simply take a brite box and a set of sport lights to complete the installation. |
The Brite box only keeps the low beams on at the same time as your high beams. It won't work for a sport light (4 bulb) conversion.
