Oil Pan Gasket

It appears theres a very small "sweat" leak coming from my oil pan. All the nuts seem to be wet with oil. Im due for an oil change and would like to fix it while I'm changing my oil because it only makes sense to do it then. Is this a difficult job? What needs to be done? All help is greatly appreciated.

unbolt your front 4 cab mounts and lift cab 4-6" up and hold it... then undo your moter mounts (loosen) and lift moter up till you got room to get to all the bolts and drain oil and pull the pan.

Double check the tightness of your oil pan bolts. I have heard and seen them come loose and cause a leak.

When I did my oil pan gasket the other week what I did was loosen my motor mounts, unbolted the exhaust from the turbo, and used a engine hoist and lifted the motor up just a few inches, took out all the bolts for the oil pan and you need to get the pan to drop far enough so you can reach the bolts that hold on the pick up tube, once the pick up tube was off I was able to slide everything out. when I did mine i was able to get away with not having to pull off any intercooler boots off, I also have flex-a lite fans in my truck but you might need to keep an eye on yours if its stock fan to make sure it dont hit anything. For what I did for my gasket was put some shallac on the oil pan and on the block, also used some ultra gray permatex on the seems of where the timing cover meets the block and also put some on the seems of where the rear main seal cover is. Putting it back in I had a friend handle the pan while i bolted the pick up tube back it. Doing it the way I did worked great for me. Hope this helps
