tire time

Tires are getting some good wear on em and with winter approaching id like to get new ones and up size. Question is how big of tires can I fit at factory ride height. Truck is a dually currently I think I ha.ve 235/85/16. I was wondering if I could fit 285/75/16's. Will I need spacers between rear wheels or anywhere else? Any help is great.
Thanks-cody

You should be able to fit a 285 at stock ride height, but yes, you will need a spacer.

You can fit 255 85 16 with no spacer and slightly taller, like an inch.

I'm not worried if I need a spacer. I would like wider as well as taller

Well, you will need hub-centric spacers if you use a spacer, plan on around $500. I have seen a 305 75 16, looks kind of funny on a factory 7" rim. The 285's are a common size for replacement. Also, I am not sure at what upsize you would want to regear things to compensate for the larger rolling stock, something to keep in mind.
