Why cummins thermostat?
Why are you guys recommending cummins thermostats? I've used more aftermarket therms over the years than I have fingers to count without fail (non cummins). So. Spend $75 or $15. Geno's sells one for $16 as I recall. So they must be advocating using it.
Not opposed to a price diff when it has benefits. Does it in this case? |

Makes sense. Thanks for the link.
Where is the cheapest place to get a cummins therm? Does anyone have the correct part number? |
I get mine from a Cummins dealership. Price wasn't too bad, but more than a jobber for sure. $65, I Believe, and that is also Canadian. You should be able to get it for less.
I didn't record the number, and I wish I did for this reason. |
My NAPA thermostat works fine you just watch the temp go from 140 to 200 then back to 140 constantly. If that dosn't bother you it will save you about 50 bucks :c:
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I wonder if you go to the Dodge dealer if you get a Cummins T stat :humm: Definitly a big difference lookin at the pics but still mine dosn't bother me. |
Ok. Called my local Dodge dealer. $61, but non in stock. Will have it in a day or two.

I replaced mine with a NAPA one, and instead of being right below the line on temp. guage. its right on it. Never had the problem tiremann descibes, comes up to temp. and stays there.
