NV5600 double click?

When shifting my nv5600 I notice there seemed to be a two stage "click" going into gear. What could be the cause of this? Is it my shifting style? I am trying to shift deliberately but not slamming the gears as I have read to do. I know its not the snoothest tranny out there and sometimes it will slip in like butter. 3rd gear seemes to be the worst. Will changing fluid help and should I fill with more than new venture suggest? If so by how much?
Thanks.

Consensus seems to be amsiol MTF is the best stuff and to put in atleast 6 quarts threw the top with some friction moddifier.

My 6 speed shifts up and down smooth in all gears BUT 6th.

6th is a crap shoot sometimes double clutch it goes in smooth, other times a slight grind, other times noway unless you jam it or go back to 5th and try again. Odd part i have tried floating it into 6th and it has gone in with no grind.

Ther eis penzoil fluid in it now and i plan to flush it and try Amsoil 6 quarts with some limited slipp differential fluid.
