APPS issues? P1693 and P0122
I've got a 2001 Dodge RAM 2500 CTD.
About a week ago when I turned off the truck at the drive through I heard metallic crack sound. I initially though something like the alternator bracket broke (I had this happen on an old Jeep). A visual inspection shows everything was properly mounted and I couldn't find anything apparently wrong. The next day I started getting a P1693 and a P0122. I had been also having the sticky feeling throttle pedal as well as 4th gear hunt (only when it rains). It looks like this points to my APPS needing to be recalibrated or replaced. This sound right? |
1693 is a companion code, nothing to get too worked up about.
P0122 is APPS low voltage. You may have a bad APPS, and may be able to fix it by resetting it, and relearning it. |
So... I adjusted my APPS and all was fine for about a week and a half to two weeks... now, the problem is starting again... sigh...
Is this usually how it starts before the APPS totally craps out and you get a dead pedal? I suppose I will adjust it again and if I can find a writeup showing all the grounds I'll clean those up as well and hope for the best. |
What did you figure out on your truck? Im also getting the po122 code. I replaced my apps and it didnt change thing. Truck has low power and bucks like crazy.
|
If the adjustment keeps coming out, it very well could be your APPS failing.
|
I tried the apps off of my other truck which works fine on that truck but not on my 02. So i bought a new apps and still nothing. Its reading the correct volt 5.79 but throws a code.
|
