turbo

ok im going to rebuild my hx35 on my 99, due to a little to much shaft play, i am getting a little puff of blue smoke when i let off the go pedal, just woundering if the turbo is leaking oil through,
also its down on power, the boost presser is still up where it always has been just woundering if that could cause lack of power.

it has a small amount of blow by, i understand that the blue smoke could be ring on the way out also. what do you guys think?:humm:

Blow by is normal, you will always have some. Excessive blow by can come from worn rings, or bad valve stem seals. Seems odd you get the blue smoke when you let off the throttle. Your turbo shaft seals could be leaking. Only way to find out is to remove the downpipe to have a look.
