Has any one had a 2001 cummins 6 speed with 300,000 miles on it? If so have you had any transmission problems. I wanna buy a truck with 260k miles and dont know how much more life the tranny will have.

As long as the tranny was taken care off, the NV5600 are tough as hell. Check for excessive blow by, make sure the IP is still good, check for codes using the key trick. If you have a knowledgeable diesel mechanic that you trust have him/her check it over. Look for any major oil puddles underneath and just comb over the entire truck. If there is a programmer or module on the truck and it doesn't have a good LP, you can almost guarantee you will be purchasing a new IP, sooner than later.
