oppinions please.
Alright, i got a sweet job doing commercial heating and cooling at 18 years old. i dont have a daily driver. but i want a diesel. i can make money fast and save it. i dont want chevy. i love ford. and ive never owned a dodge. i LOVE first gen intercooled cummins. but they arent prime daily driving material. i want to put a down payment on something maybe used. so buying from a dealership with a warranty or atleast a hands down 30 day guarentee
I want a 3/4 ton. So either ford, the fairly new 2008 6.4 or go find a 2000 7.3. or a dodge. i simply cant afford a 6.7. but the 12 valve or 24 valve. generally which is more reliable with the least amount of problems out of all of them. i understand this could be biased ha, but just in all reality. compared to your friends 6.4 how does a 12 valve or 24 valve compare with prices now and down the road. i looked for a better place to put this post but couldnt find one. any unbiased help would be greatly appreciated :tu: |
The older the better in my opinion, cheaper.. less electronic bullsh*t. etc.. that's just my opinion though. The 6.0 and 6.4 P/S is junk... stay away from them. 7.3's are great engines though. But you can't beat a cummins 12v!

your best shot is to go fora 1994-1998 cummins 12 valve such a simple and reliable truck. will last you a life time and can make plenty power :tu:
