egt too high?
Hey if I have done some pump tuning and put a governer spring and denny t,would my egts be too high?I was gonna order gauges and the fuel pin and spring, but don't wanna waste money on the pin if I wouldn't be able to use it right now.

If you keep your foot out of it you will be okay. But yes if you put the pedal to the metal your EGTs will jump up. :tu:

Simply put, fuel+load=heat.
Get the gages first and watch what they do. You will soon see what causes your EGT to rise and fall. When you start making changes, keep notes. And make 1 change at a time. |
ok..well here in the next week or two ill be getting my egt and boost gauges to keep a eye on things.from there ill see what i gotta do.

Look into a fuel pressure gauge also. Mine will suck the lift pump down to 0psi easy if I dig into it. Need to install my electric pump.

my egts never exceed 900 (post turbo) under full 1/4 mile passes, ive got an hx35 and about everything you can do to the pump denny t stage 2 pin and 4k gov spring included

(Cummins12club) have you turned in your fuel screw??? 900 on an hx35 at wot must not have enough fuel....even with stock injectors mine would reach 1300
