sorry no tstat I knew that was gona happen

I guess you could if you wanted it to take forever to warm up, I'd try a new one maybe yours isn't opening all the way. :c:

Without a thermostat it is not likely for it to ever warm up. The heat is needed for more then keeping you warm in the cab. The engine heat helps the engine run properly. I agree to try a new T-Stat, and see what happens.

x2 on not heating up right. i have removed t stats for some kind of problems to get home but thats it. the last truck i run that way was my 08 6.7 with a blowed head gasket.

You need to slow down the flow too, restrictive rings are sold and go in place of the T-stat. It let's the coolant actually pick up the heat from the cylinder walls.

I ran no t stat for about 2 months i think and had no problems i pulled it out because my gauge quit working and figured better to run it cold than possibly over heat it. but mine doesn't really ever warm up even with a t stat in it unless its 90 outside.

Running no t stat will cause the it to overheat, because they move the coolant so fast that it doesn't stay in the rad long enough to exchange the heat.:argh:

I've never had anything overheat from running no tstat used to do it all the time when I was young and driving beaters :c:
