Diff in intercooled&non intercooled vepumps

What's the difference in the intercooled to non intercooled vepumps?

as far as the pump tops go the only difference i noticed is the fuel delivery rate pin spring that sits on the star wheel is much stiffer on a non ic compared to an ic

The governor control shaft and arm are different, non ic doesn't have a return spring on the shaft, the ksb valve may also be different

The delivery valves are longer on a non ic the ksb is a wax pellet style and the fuel screw is longer.

Can the intercooled pumps be put on non intercooled engines and ifso do they create anymore power

They can be interchanged but u won't see a big increase either way just because. U r more likely to see a difference because one happened to be adjusted a little different or because one happens to be in better condition. From the factory the ic'ed was supposed to deliver something like 2 less cubic mm per shot but it had much smaller injector nozzles so in theory the ic pump could possibly be set higher from factory but the total system could still deliver less.

Everyone i talk to tells me to put ppump but what a bunch of extra crap to do and the vepump seems so basic but has been reliable for me till now, but people around here think there gold!
