Denny T AFC Delete Top

anyone run or use a denny t afc delete top if so id like to know if you like it and what the pros and cons are

tower_ofpower 03-11-2012 10:54 AM

Real easy to quench the fire if trying to take off in a hurry and you put it to the floor. That's about the only bad thing about it, EGTs are tunable through the full fuel screw, but I wouldn't recommend the delete for towing. some guys would grind the AFC lever in their stock pump top to gain a hair of rack travel, that isn't necessary with the delete, trying to think of what else... Hmmm that's really about it, other than being smokey at times and needing to actually pay attention to where your throttle is at its overall a nice piece.

I like mine. Less parts no fuel pin leaks but if you dump it, it can bog down some but ramp into it and its great. Its like a stage 2 with a bottomed out starwheel can be driven normal with no smoke

how much does one run price wise?

tower_ofpower 03-11-2012 11:29 PM

Little over $200 I believe :humm: but that's Dennis's say to give you the price; not mine. Either way highly doubt you'll be disappointed with it :tu:

sounds good, seems like its worth the money

tower_ofpower 03-12-2012 06:08 PM

I never had an issue getting ahold of him. He used to charge a single price with or with out the delete but word got back to him the guys were buying the top with the TPS delete and then selling them for their own profit. Or some variation of that story. He's a real good guy to talk with, great craftsmanship too.

i might sound dumb by this but i am new to the diesel world...what exactly does this mod do and what are the benefits.i want to do some mods but i have no idea where to start.

moparbubbabt59l 03-12-2012 08:01 PM

This removes your air fuel control from the pump top. No starwheel no fuel pin. Check the stickeys to learn more.

AFC delete tops are 200 for standards and 225 for the TPS equipped 91.5-93 dodges. The extra 25 to cover the cost of the TPS delete kit needed to operate the trans OD.

Thats directly from an Email I received from him only days ago, I am getting one only because i've had the worst luck with the AFC units on these.

Denny is actually a really nice guy, I can't see any mistrust in him thus far, the guy is like you or I, just workin to make a living.
