2nd gen power steering pump on a 1st gen?

Hi, I think I need more/better power steering pump for my truck with 01 F350 hydroboost? Would a 97 up PS pump work on my 92 Cummins? Thanks, Artie

I used one from a 99 or 00 truck, bolted right on.

I wonder why PSC lists 94- and up and not down to 91.5? Let me ask this, what would be a easy, cheap way to put the power steering pump to the gear inside the timing cover, besides a 4 BT?

if you find a cost-effective way, let me know, I'd love to ditch the vacuum pump in my truck.

I called PSC and spoke to a Lance. He told me absolutly that a 94 would not work on a 92. He said that a gear was pressed on and had springs and all sorts of problems. I beleve he would be correct on a 89-91.5? I looked at several places and same pump 92-96 and 97 up. I'm thinking the steering problems in my Fummins is a pressure problem and the 92's pump wasn't designed for a hydroboost. All I should have to do is remove the 4 bolts between the pump and vacuum pump, and slide it back? And if the new pump slides in, transfere the hoses and fill-n-bleed? Would you guys use a remote reservoir or on pump reservoir?
