Hey guys i have been looking into buying a 1993 350 dodge dually with the cummins and a 5spd 4wd extended cab., my buddy is the current owner the truck has around 250,000 miles on her. The interior needs some work the back seats arent there and the guy before hime has wires running everywhere and toggle switches. Im not too worried about all that though i can fix it all, but i really dont want a dually and was wandering what ur guys thoughts on converting it over to a single wheel would be??? is it a pretty straight forward process??? also wanting some of ur guys input on whats the best to do for these trucks?? how much power can you get out of a ve pump??? my thoughts on it are to put the single axle and some 18x10 inch wheels turn the power up and drive it everyday and maybe hit a couple sled pulls with it, probably put some injectors and a bigger turbo too eventually when the cash flow allows.. how much would you say this truck is worth?? hes wanting $7,000 out of it.

if that truck is from the factory 5 speed, 4x4 and ext cab diesel, it is a gem! do not convert it to single those trucks are probably the most rare among the 1st gens.

 

that it is a 93 extended cab 4x4 dually 5spd. cummins straight from the factory.... i wasnt aware that there isnt many of them out there. thanks for the info i would have changed axles and then been mad when i found that out.. So what are the best mods for these trucks????? its bone stock never been turned up or anything all it needs is some interior work a steering box and the doors are starting to rust at the bottom overall its pretty clean i think, my 2001 needs more body work than this one does..

 

Go to the "sticky" threads, I probably went through everything in there and mainly answered all my questions by reading that alone. That would be my input on this. You can turn the VE pump up a good bit. I know that project rust bucket? is making 900 something on a single turbo set up with nitrous and it's still a VE pump. I wanna say he's making 972 on spray... So the VE is capable of quite a bit.. you just gotta tune them right.

Did dodge just not make many of these trucks straight from the factory jdbiglue???

 

truck has 6x0.016 injectors, ported exhaust side and o ringed head, scheid 14mm ip, and a 47rh.. I forget what else at the moment. There is an article on it on line. Just go to google and type in project rust bucket 89 dodge.
