not your usual OD question

So Im having problems with my OD...typical. If I'm correct the only sensor that control OD are:

TPS
VSS
Trans temp switch
ECT

Am I missing any? Im leaning toward the trans temp switch, but chrysler never built that field into their scan tools so its a game on elimination.

Crank position sensor. But if that one fails you will also have a charging problem.
No OD?
Any other symptoms?
Most common to fail is the TPS. It can be bypassed with a simple rheostat or you can use a pressure switch off the trans to control OD.

I already run a potentiometer and its set at 60%.

Next step would be to find out if the OD solenoid is working. First check the wiring at the transmission.
The dark blue wire should have 12V with the ignition on. The red/light green wire goes to ground through the engine controller.
Check to see if you have resistance across the OD solenoid.

My '91 had this problem when i got it. I checked everything and did the pot mod and still nothing. I ended up replacing the OD solenoid in the transmission itself. I cheated and cut the wires from the plug to the old solenoid and soldered the new one in. Its worked for the last 9 months and kept me from removing the valvebody.

It works most of the time, however the computer is turning the OD off. That is why i wanted to know the inputs.
