Air Bags
Like many I am looking to soften a 1st gen ride. I have glanced through the forms and it seems that softer springs arn't the way to go, but air bags might be. Any thoughts or garunteed solutions? anyone have a good source for airbags?

I had air bags on a 1 ton and it didnt help at all.

I have some on mine. Empty, You won't feel most of the small bumps but the bigger ones you feel more. Loaded, You don't buck as much but its still not a smooth ride.

The only way airbags would soffen the ride, would be to get rid of all the leaf springs and replace them with a compleat air ride suspention.
they are made to help out with more load not to make it ride better. Dar |

These trucks ride rough??? I guess after driving 18 wheelers you don't notice it |
thanks.......i think
LOL on the car comment, I don't mind running roads but I check a trap line every morning on 15 miles of almost 4wd road. I have become accustom to removing my hat so I dont poke a hole in my head from the hat button when my head hits the cieling. I think I'll try removing the 2nd and 3rd spring and add bags.....I'm just talking on the rear here.:scare2:
