boost question

I am sure this has been asked before but I did not see it in the first 6 pages I scoured over. I recently upgraded my turbo from the lagmaster to a wastegated HX35 and I found on Ebay the adjustable elbow. My question is how much boost is safe with out major modding done. I have had the timing bumped and star wheel is bottomed out as well as fuel screw adjustment. I am adding a 3200 RPM spring and I know it already woke the truck up with the turbo but I am looking for a little more. Ideal goal is 200HP which isn't much but it will do for me as I want to keep it plenty reliable. I read that the turbo will handle up to 35 but I was thinking a number around 28? I just dont want to blow the head gasket or cause myself other problems. What do you guys recommend?

As long as it's under 40psi you won't need head studs and your h/g will be safe. With the mods you have your probably already close to 200hp. I don't think you'll boost much over 30psi right now, maybe a hair more once the spring is in

According to the dyno run it was 165 at the rear tires before I put the HX35 on. You are correct though I don't know how much the turbo added.

Yeah, 165 at the wheels is close to 200 @ the flywheel, the turbo prob won't add much as the comp and turbine wheels are about the same, the hx just has a smaller exhst housing, but it does flow a little better
