braking problems
 

whats up everyone i got a 1993 ram w250 and it has brake problems that are getting worst as time goes on. the problem is that when i brake hard the pedal goes down about 2 inches and if on long enough, the pedal starts jumping and it clunks and pops the hole truck to a shake and it does it repeatedly until i come to a full stop and the brake light on the info center comes on. it also makes the pedal amlost impossible to push down and doesnt let me move it down an inch after coming to a stop. i know this is a bad description but i dont know how to explain it better. also this past snow storm i had, when on the brakes the right rear tire spun no matter how hard i was on the pedal at a dead stop. was told it was the proportioning valve, and a bad booster and bad master. dont know what to beleive but asking here because most on here know there 1st gens better than anyone i know. need help ASAP before i crash the thing!!!

Check for leaky wheel cylinders, calipers. Is the brake fluid low? Normally the brake light comes on because the rod in the proportioning valve is moving due to low pressure on one of the systems, either front or rears. Which is usually caused by a leak. Hope this helps

brake fluid stays at the same level and and it is the front end that does it and the wheel cylinders do not leak neither does the calipers all is well sealed

your description is hard to follow but I think I understand now. try popping off the vacuum line to the booster, with the truck running do you get vacuum? If it's a hard pedal it might be a bad vacuum pump

Brake light is from low vacuum, the reason your rears continued to spin is bc the rear is out of adjustment.

not to sound rude, Brake light low vacuum?? I've never hear of that... What sensor is that??

the low vacuum switch is on the drive side fender well.

It T's off the vacuum check Valve on the booster, follow the vacuum line over to the inner fended, pretty sure it's a 3 wire switch, right around the hood hinge.
