Injection pump problems

Can anyone help me i have a 1993 cummins and i think the injection pump has a few problems, does anyone know why it feels like it pulls when im in drive and im stoped holding the brake in? i tried adjusting the fuel screw, idle, and smoke screw i was wondering if i have to turn the star wheel? an if i do i was wondering which way?

Pull? like its idling high and wanting to go? Your idle should be around 700-800. Before you go too far making adjustments, you should write down what adjustments you have made so you can go back to that setting after all is said and done specially if you dont have gauges (pyro/boost). If its idling high and you backed the idle screw out all the way then turn your fuel screw out a little and the idle should drop.

did you adjust the fuel screw in or out?
