Adjusting the factory steering box

Hey i heard you can adjust the steering linkage inside the box making your steering tighter or looser, but i couldnt figure it out by looking at it. I would like to replace it with a new steering box but i dont have the money right now, so that will have to wait. Thanks

On the top near the center, youll find a jamnut and a allen head screw. loosen the nut and turn in the screw. try the feeling and readjust.

Will only bandaid the problems for a while.

make sure when you replace it to go to a close ration box way nicer

I adjusted that jam nut, Allen head an it worked. Then I greased my front end an it also helped.

Gotta be careful, too tight and your steering can become rather touchy. The sector shaft is supposed to be a variable rate design and running too tight kind of takes away the "gradual adjustment" designed for highway speed corrections
