Okay looked into putting an NV4500 in my truck and its to much work to do overnight. So im thinking of putting a lock up TQ in my 727. The TQ is the only thing wrong with it. So what are the pros and cons of a lock up TQ?

You can not change the diesel 727 to lock up. Try a better aftermarket converter. The hughs is budget.

I ran a Goerand in my 89 and loved it, the 92 has a DTT I think it is and its also pretty nice.

??? what makes you say this?

Different case from the gasser, it does not have the passages needed for the conversions out there for the gasser 727's. If you want lock up you need to swap in a lock up tranny.

I thought cases were identical, just needed a different converter and valve body + applicable wiring. I've been curious about it myself. Personally I just don't think anyone has ever done the research as you can just get a better trans to do the job

Nope. They are different, the diesel case is missing some internal passages that the gas version has.
