Leaf Spring Swap W350 to W150 Springs

Ok I have a 91.5 W350 Single Wheel and its rough as hell as they all are well I was wondering if I was to put W150 Springs on it if they would hold up at the front? I'm not going to haul anything with it I have a new 1 ton for that but just wondering if yall think it will hold the weight of the cummins and im also puting some Bilsten Shocks on it or if i should go with some W250 Soft Ride Skyjacker Springs???

Thanks!

I really don't think the springs would hold the weight, and even if they did i doubt they would hold their shape for long before they started drooping. Then you'd have to go through the trouble of swapping the springs out again. I'd save some money and get a new set or start searching on here and cumminsforum for parts from a private seller cause sometimes you can get a deal on some good parts. Just my opinion buddy based on my current and ongoing stress of swapping out my suspension

Yeah i was thinking the 1/2 ton springs would be a
Little weak too but i heard of going with some 3/4 soft ride springs with overloads and 1/2 ton shocks should do the trick so ima try that and see how i get along!!?!?:c:

How many leafs does you truck have in the front? I order a new set from the dealer they had 8 left in stock but they are 6 leaf. Don't know how much money you want to spend but they make and air ride for the front and rear of these trucks.

7 Leafs on the front and 8 Leafs on the rear, No overloads just all stacked on top of each other. And I was really thinking about doing air ride on the rear by building my own 4 link suspension and removing the leafs and adding air bags and just removing some spings in the front and adding spacers. But right now that is out of my budget just trying to do the cheapest way right now. So any idea's?

yeah I can bet they ride rough. someone added a leaf factory parts only show up to 6 leafs in the front. I have a pair of 6 leafs I'd sell

1/2 ton springs with air helpers, adjust the air pressure in the bags until you get a good feel and plenty of support for the weight of the cummins.

That's probably a nice soft ride tower

I have 4" Skyjackers with Bilstein 5125's on my W250. I have 4 months on them so far and they haven't sagged any to my surprize because they ride very soft. Almost too soft for me. I plan to stiffen them up a bit when I get time. I think they would be a great choice for people looking for a softer ride.

I've got 6" soft rides and they really aren't that soft... Prob be better if I had better shocks.
