air bags

im wanting to run ride right air bags in the front end of my 93 and was wondering if i still need the shocks or do the air bags act as shocks as well as help the ride?

You'll still want shocks, as they dampen the rebound of the springs. Springs being coil, leaf or air bags. It will bounce a lot without shocks.

what about the torsion bar is it possible to run with out it or should i custom build a bracket to mount the bag to the frame?

Torsion bars are for independant front ends we don't have em on our trucks. But non the less even on IFS trucks with torsion bars you still need shocks.

Hopefully the air bags are of large enough capacity to allow for a good ride. For an idea on ideal air bag size, take a look at the air bags on a Lincoln.

Also, let us know how it rides once complete.
