2 WHEEL DRIVE DIESELS

HOW MANY GUYS OUT THERE RUNNING 2 WHEEL DRIVE DIESELS? DO YOU HAVE TROUBLE HOOKING UP OR ANY OTHER ISSUES? I'M WORKING ON PUTTING A CUMMINS IN A 92 D150 WITH A NV4500 BEHIND IT AND HEARD OF A COUPLE PEOPLE HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THE POWER TO THE GROUND.

Depending on what you want to do with it...

Anytime you venture off the road you run the risk of being stuck. Snow is not fun. If your going to drag race it, the standard and 2wd will slow you down. I have fun with mine, but I know its limitations.

I'M JUST LOOKING FOR SOME FUN AROUND TOWN FOR NOW. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE BACKEND WALKING IF I HIT THE THROTTLE TOO HARD GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY

AHineman 09-23-2011 08:25 PM

Mine only does that when the road is wet. :choochoo:

ditto on the wet roads. But mine is pretty much stock. I love driving on to a wet field and listening to the tires spin because the back end doen't have enough weight. Or the nose sinking into the mud and getting stuck. I've always said 95% of the time I don't need a four wheel drive, but that 5% of the time I REALLY NEED a four wheel drive:dang:

Mine walks easy when boost comes up. My truck is also lighter then a normal 1st gen. FYI all caps usually means your yelling so hit the caps lock button.

2WD here and I rarely get the rear to slip in rain. Main benefit to the 2WD is that it will haul more and costs less to acquire.

mine will kick the ass around in the rain if you feed it a little too much go pedal, but it isn't much of a problem.

what kind of mileage do you guys get when you take it easy on them, i eventually plan to switch to a 3.07 or even a 2.90 gear. I'm running the stock 9.25 rearend thats in the 1/2 ton just to see how long it will last.
