Autometer and ISSPRO have the best rep, but are expensive. I been using mostly Autometers in my trucks with no problems. A few years ago they replaced a defective out-of-the -box pyro for me quickly, no questions asked. You can get all the gauge brands at egauges.com for less than most other places I've seen them.

im running all autometer now oil water and alt still waiting on my pod and pyro have you ever wired in a tach on a first gen??

You need a Diesel specific tach for diesel trucks. If you look in teh sticky you will see a thread I did on installing my Isspro.

Upon "re-reading" the post, I see the OP "have put" not "have to put."

Duh.

But, oh well... :w2:

Oil pressure should run around 30psi hot idle and 80psi max cold at speed. A healthy engine will run 60psi hot on the highway. Temp will be variable according to load, but the thermostat should have it at about 180, unloaded.
