Starting my winter project, need some input.

I figured it was time to put some much needed work in my '93 so here's a list of what I need. I'm sure some of my questions are common sense but I just want a second opinion.

1.Install rebuilt transmission. To replace the pilot bearing does the clutch have to come out or can I reach in there and get it? Clutch has 30k and is still like new.

2.Install 3.07 rear end. Where can I get the stuff to make the speedometer be accurate?

3. KDP, front seal, and 24v oil pump. Do I need to drop the oil pan for any of this? Will the 24v pump be a worthy upgrade?

The rest I have figured out. I'll also be doing cooling system overhaul( rad, pump, hoses) front end rebuild, turbo rebuild, 3pc manifold, more sound deadening, and a bunch of nickle and dime stuff. Let me know what you think.

I realized that the clutch disk has to come out because there is no way I can get the pilot bearing out through it.:argh:

Any reason to teh 3.07s? You just want milage? If you plan on towing at all you wont be happy with them. If it's just for milage they will be great!

What truck did you get teh axle out of?

The 3.07's will be mostly for mileage. When I do tow its never over 5k and an occasional 12-15k trailer. I got the rear end out of a 90 d250 auto. Its in ok shape but if I find one thats in better condition ill get it.

You will like the milage. Your gonna hate pulling 15k
