Default Fan Too Loud

At the moment, I am having my transmission rebuilt and the guy who is rebuilding it said he thought my fan on my motor seemed to be abnormally loud. The truck has sounded the same ever since I bought it. I'm not sure how loud a fan should be on a first gen, or if the guy who owned the truck before me did something to it. What I want to know is are the fans just generally loud on these trucks or do I need to do something to my truck?

fan on mine sounds like a jet when it kicks in is very noticable . they are a thermostatic clutch fan, so they can sound different as they lock/ freewheel. some guys pin the clutch when it fails so it could sound loud all the time. Imo pinning the clutch is bad idea.
