im planning to head stud my truck soon and 60# valve springs, i wanna know how much boost i can handle if i dnt fire ring it, im not building a pull/drag truck, my goal is 500 horse and i wanna know if i can get by without firerings,
thanks for the feedback:tu:

if your already pulling the head off, why not fire ring it??

Because you dont have to pull the head off to change the head studs or valve springs.

No, but you do have to get your rocker pedestals milled down to fit the studs.... I wouldn't recommend using the pull one head bolt, insert one stud method. Much safer to just take the head off and get done what needs to be done. That being said 500 horse isn't easy to come by on a VE. Just my 2 cents. :pca1:

i just finished a p pump swap, had a 180 and it tuned out to be bad so i got a remanned 215 :rocking: running great just lookin torward the future for the old beast, and the reason i dnt wanna fire ring it that im trying to save some money, and if i dnt need them why spend the money
