I have a 93 cummins in a 89 blazer and I'm trying to get refed and I need the computer that times the grid any one got some info that could help me and where I can pick up one up and wirring harness any info would really help thanks

 

I think that would me a nightmare to get hooked. Id use a VW glow plug relay instead.

You cant activate the relays with a momentary push button? I assume you need it for smog laws. I don't know how the law reads for you.

 

I'm not sure what they are going to say I'm just trying to find one in case they do say something Whats a mopmentary button?

Well the grid heater is only for cold weather starting. I don't think you will need it. If you want it I would put a momentary push button on the dash to activate the relays. If you need teh heaters to start the truck, hold the button for 5 seconds, hit the key, release button.

And as for the spelling, Bud Light and typing on my phone apparently don't mix.

From what I understand, Cumminsblazer has installed a '93 engine into an '89 body and technically needs to pass emissions.
The good part of it is he's technically "upgraded" to an engine that CA feels is more emissions friendly, in that it is 4 years NEWER than the body it is in.
The caveat I see for that is that California MAY make him run the equipment to make the engine emissions compliant for the year it is REMOVED from.

That could technically mean that he has to wire in all sensors and peripheral emissions devices to make it compliant.

Good or bad, California is one of the FEW States who allow cross transplanting the engine as long as the emissions are compliant to the ENGINE'S year of manufacture.

The RamCharger, a '92, that I did with the Cummins, and 100% of the wiring from a 1992 truck, would pass by CA's current rules.
