24v pistons in 12v motor
 

What kind of injectors would need to be used for 24v pistons in 12v motor?

It just wont work. The bowl in 24v pistons is in the center, and 12V pistons are off set. This is because a 12V's injector comes down the head at an angle, and isn't centered in the bore/on the piston.

If you used a 24v head they would work, correct?

If memory serves me right you can do that but you have to do something funky with the gaskets for the water ports or something like that

Aren't the 24v head bolts longer as well? I've been reading up on swap project with a 12v lower and 24v head so any good info that can be passed along.....

I was thinking along these lines too

I just cant remember all the particulars

why not pull the 12v motor, install a 24V motor and then put all the timing cover and stuff from the 12V in the truck the install custom lines, injectors etc. would seem just about as easy to me than pulling a 12V motor, installing 24V pistons, making the head gasket and head work, re-install motor then install custom lines and injectors.
