Skinny tires
Unfortunately, fuel keeps going up in price so in order to save fuel, how skinny can I go? I've been specifically looking at 215/85/16 load range E tires. These tires have a weight rating of 2680 lbs. Any experiences with these types of tires on a truck with a heavy front end?

i dont really know about those size of tires but the factory tires on these trucks is 235 85 r 16 so that is the best for load range and fuel econmy as far as i know so i hope this helps if not let me know what you find out im always trying to find new ways to save fuel lol

In my opinion the factory size is best. If you go smaller you lower gear ratio which will turn motor faster and will use more fuel. I would concentrate on tuning and driving habit for fuel milage.

Cool, thanks for the response. Just to confirm, do you run these tires (215/85/16) up front as well?
