look in the 1st gen sticky under performance "turning the pump up" RSWORDS put a link in there for a write up on turning our VE pumps up and it has some good tips on your particular problem. Maybe someone else could put the link in here im not sure how to do that.

If you can't get the locknut off, take a small chisel or punch and tap it. It's got a little tack weld on there to hold it in place and to stop the less inclined to tamper with it. :w2:

i cant even get a wrench down there or anything it is trapped in by fuel lines and what not. do i need to take the whole pump off or what? i hope not lol i wont be able to put the sun of a gun back together!:argh:

Shouldn't have to do that. Go to youtube and search VE pump or something along those lines. From what I've read, (I've never actually looked) there's a couple of really good videos about turning the pump up.
