tach
dumb question but do 1st gens have rpm tachs?
|
Mine does not
|
I just bought an isspro tach and it came with the magnet and sensor to put on the balancer works good.
|
Mine doesnt.

Some of the later models do. I think all the 92-93 trucks have the wiring harness for it. The factory setup is not in dash, it sits on the steering column.

my truck has an isspro tach wired into aplug for a tach in a factory harness ontop of the steering column. I looked in my original sales brochure and it shows no optional gauges, maybe U.S. models did. as for the plug is it aleft over gasser thing? I dont know.:humm:

You could get the tach at the dealer. It was a dealer installed option. Usually they were screwed to the top of the dash. The 92 and 3's did have the tach wire harness. All the trucks without a crank sensor did not. I have heard of a kit that was available on the early trucks that was also dealer installed. I have Isspro's in all 3 of my trucks.

I think my truck has one of these tachs. Does anyone have a picture of this factory/dealer tach? |

Yes my 91.5 does not have the plug-in but for some reason the person i spoke to asked me several times if i have the factory pillar trim. yes my truck is the LE model. I needed the mag and sensor to install this tach.
