Trans. Temp Gauge

I was wondering where on the transmission do install the sender for the temp. gauge. My truck has a auto with O/D I believe its a 46rh.

The best place is to put it in the hot line with a thermal T.

That's supposed to be more responsive and accurate than in the pan. I don't think it makes as much of a difference as a pre- or post- turbo pyrometer, but I'd think it has to be better.
