i have a 1991 dodge 250 with a cummins and it will only start with ether,it runs fine when its goin but will not restart. it started the other day when it was 12 degrees out but its 40 degrees out today so it should be starting today and seeing how it was warm when i shut it off.any ideas on what to try first?

:argh::argh::argh::argh::argh: another one using ether. NEVER USE ETHER!! if it doesnt start theres something wrong. now guess what you probably fried your rings and most likely you now have an ether dependant truck. congratulations :argh:

if it won't start on it own it is getting air in it or it has a bad injector. getting it running and start looking for fuel leaks.

well i had to use ether to get it home and yes today i replaced any fuel line that even looked old or damp,i blead the injectors, and if it was the pump then would it run good when its runnin?it has no loss of power at all.and the first thing i did actually was change the fuel filter which was VERY dirty unfortnately but it started right up after that and started up maybe 7 or so times after that, and i figured it was allset then later on it wouldnt start again?
