mine wont come on either but the relays work as i can hear them . but i swapped in another pcm and wts lamp worked .

Mine always comes on. even when its hot out. Does that mean anything?

i dont think any thing will happen but you may have a discrepancy on coolant sensor or intake sensor one of them may be showing the pcm that its -40 degrees

If it doesn't get below 60-70* where you are I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if it gets cold I'd fix it. Make sure the grid heater is kickin on. On the ve/p pump trucks the main functions of the pcm are cruise control and grid heater. It's $$$, so I'd check if grid heater is kicking on and the light isn't working. If thats the case, eff it. If grid heater isn't working at all, you might consider a relayed momentary switch to kick it on when it gets cold, then start. If it starts, it starts, but some increased engine wear can be expected IMO from starting REALLY cold with no grid heater. (as I do)

Did you check the bulb when you first turn the key on. all lights should come on. I have 4 blown bulbs,so my 4X4,4X4low, and 2 others never light up
