Any of the Super Duty 7.3 Powerstokes will do, but i dont know what it will take to install it. I have a 6.0 Powerstroke i/c on my first-gen, which was very simple the hardest part was mounting it but even then it still was easy, and i plan on installing one in my 78' f-250 cummins swap.

Mine is a 99, and you will probly want to pick up some 3 in stainless cooler tubes from Tim Worline, he has a site, he makes a set to use on a first gen with P/S cooler, you will need to modify your hood safty latch it hits the intercooler top, and you have to grind off some of the old cooler mounts, and if you have air i put my condinsor between the cooler and rad, i also put camper seal on everything where they might touch. sorry i don't have many pics of the install but i couldn't stop to take pics, had to get it done and test drive.:jump::choochoo::rocking:

It wont. You have to cut the grill ALOT to fit any kinda intercooler in a stock non-I/Ced truck (unless its the early 91 with the later model I/Ced grill)

you can do it on a non i/c motor as long as you dont have a/c. i did it on my truck. you can use your stock grill if you have someone cut off about an inch off the back of it. i still havent done that to mine. im still runnin the wanna be billet grill. heres my write up on it. i didnt use a powerchoke intercooler though, i used a 2nd gen cooler.

installed intercooler on my '89 - Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum
