need pump help
 

:argh:i have a 92 ve pump that i just put a bd governor spring and fuel pin in. the problem now is that when you are at about 1/4 throttle the rpm just spikes to 3/4 or full throttle. when you release the throttle it will return right away. is this normal or did i screw something up.it makes it a bear to drive in town. sorry if i sound stupid i just starting to learn about this pump. thank for your help.

you might want to take apart the linkages and springs that are on the pumps throttle shaft... you may have the large plastic and small metal washer binding up.

the linkage is free. is the pin that rides on the fuel pin supposed to move free cause mine is a little stiff.
