Brake lines replacement
 
I'm going to have to replace all my brake lines sometime in the near future:td:. There crusty at all the hold down clip deals. Is there like a kit I could buy, like bendable line, or should I just go hunt the stuff down and a roll of line:humm: And the poportioningvalve? Just remove it since my ABS comp's gone?:humm:

I just grabbed a roll of line and a bunch of new ends, you can save a couple bucks if you want to mess around drilling out the old ends, not worth my time. I would leave the prooportining valve alone. Hydraulic flaring tool is the way to go !:hellox:

thats all I did. got 2 rolls, one of each size and went to town. took me a few hrs and some time to bleed it all. very easy job.

you can also get the straight tube brake line from napa or oreilly its really cheapi redid my brothers bronco not long ago for like 60 bucks for the whole truck. the ends already come flared with nuts on them and everything

you can get pre bent brake line in stainless and steel from www InLine tube .com. I have bought from them for other cars and was happy yes they are a little more money but you and get things from them that you can't get at your local pasts house like the spring wrap Ken

What i have found helpful is to be careful taking the existing tubing out so you can use it as a template for the new line. and as stated before the hyd flaring tools are fantastic (albeit pricey). less joints are better, paint the outside of the tubes so they don't rust easy, don't pinch the lines, and bleed em good. hope that helps. Ive done too many of these on plow trucks so don't hesitate to ask any more questions. :tu:
